However, having to furnish an apartment can be quite costly and overwhelming. With furniture and food not readily available it can be stressful thinking about where to get plates, glasses and silverware, not to mention a bed, linens or desk. Remember that you are still in college and will have plenty of time to buy nice things for future homes. Get only what you need or will truly put to use, and make sure to get it cheap. Chances are you will either have to get rid of some things when moving to a new place or they may be destroyed from wear and tear, so investing a lot of money into your apartment might not be the wisest decision. Things happen, and your college-age apartment should be flexible enough to handle everyday use without breaking your bank or your heart.
