The fall semester bill will be available in just a few weeks. The due date is
AUGUST 9TH. If you're already starting to plan ahead and want to know how to submit your payment, we have just the post for you! Savvy Student has put together a list of the many different payment options available to you. Whether you wish to write a check, pay online, or apply for a loan you can be sure your bill is paid on time.
Check Payments
Checks should be made payable to "Brandeis University" and should be mailed to our P.O. Box:
Brandeis University
P.O. Box 28197
New York, NY 10087-8197
Checks can also be hand delivered to our office.
Credit Card Payments
Credit card and electronic payments can be made through your Sage account by selecting the "Account Inquiry" link in the "Finances" section. Next, select the "Activity" link. The "Total Balance for all Terms" is the amount due.
Credit card payments can also be made directly through the Tuition Management Systems website at
https://brandeis.afford.com/.
Credit card payments are an online service only.
Monthly Payment Plan
For a small application fee of $50 for one semester or $70 for the full school year, families may contract with Tuition Management Systems. Those using TMS will pay five equal monthly payments from August to December for the fall semester and/or from January to May in the spring semester. The payments are due on the first of every month. TMS is a third party vendor and, as such, they are not provided with Brandeis billing information. All budgets are set up directly between TMS and the student or family providing payment.
For more information, contact Tuition Management Systems by calling 888-216-4258 or visiting the TMS website,
https://brandeis.afford.com/.
Private Loans
If you need extra help to pay for your fall semester tuition, you can always look into getting a private loan. Although our office does not advise students about which loans to take out, we do recommend a great website for comparing loans and interest rates. The website
BorrowSmart.com is a great resource to use when considering which private loan you would like to take out. All private loans must be certified by the school once approved by the lender. The funds will post to a student's account as "pending" until the loan funds are sent by the lender and received by Brandeis.
Federal Loans
Federal Direct PLUS loans are an option for the parents of dependent students, or graduate students. PLUS loans help pay for education expenses up to the cost of attendance minus all other financial assistance. You can learn more about PLUS loans and/or apply for a parent or graduate PLUS loan by visiting
studentloans.gov. You will need to use your FAFSA PIN to sign in to your account. PLUS loans are awarded directly from the school and carry a fixed interest rate of 7.9%.
Paying for college can certainly seem like a daunting task, so we hope that you find some of these tips helpful.
